We'd love to hear your thoughts about the role and place of health apps within healthcare. Some people are suggesting they could be a gamechanger. Others are more cautious and prefer to focus on face to face therapies.

What do you think and what's been your experience to date?

I blieve an Health board ( Canterbury) application will remove the stigma and act as a method of 'breaking down barriers between professional and private relationships. There needs to be more communication concerning treatment plans and respite. The Health board app should display recommendations and support for the medhealthuser. The professional should not need to supply all notes and observations but should provide a go-to for the med Health user as an app/quicklink to a national Health Index web page with a directory of other reference sites. Also the patient may or may not benefit from diagnostic aetiology of methods to counteract their disability, disorder or disease. Relevant information regarding illness may or may not help the med user.
