PHARMAC seminars are clinically-relevant educational sessions for NZ health professionals.
Seminars cover a diverse range of topics presented by experts in their fields. Participants share in a full day of the latest information to stay up-to-date with current practice and research. You can choose to attend in person or watch online at a time that suits you.
The seminars provide a great opportunity to network with other health professionals from around the country and share information and ideas in an environment that isn’t always possible in busy clinical settings.
This seminar will introduce attendees to the principles of pre-travel medical preparation and the breadth of the pre-travel consultation. It will then focus on topics where there has either been recent change or ones which can be challenging, in particular the vaccine preventable diseases.
The seminar will be aimed primarily at those with no Travel Medicine experience. It will repeat concepts taught in previous Pharmac Travel Medicine seminars so it is intended for first time attendees. The seminar will be filmed for use as a resource on the Seminar Series website to give others an opportunity to review this popular topic as pre learning for more complex travel seminars .
